‘Green Silk Want’

The Erotics of Exile

This four-part seminar invites twelve writers into deep engagement with the sensual politics of belonging, desire and distance in poetry from ancient to contemporary voices. Built primarily around texts by women and/or queer poets, each session incorporates critical discussion, personal reflection and writing exercises focused on the body in relation to psychic and spatial ongoingness, along with insights on craft mechanics and vocal reading. Following the course, a cozy salon evening will be hosted at the Grüner Salon for free public attendance.
